Why Sonny Side Up?

Most training is forgettable. Instead create lasting change.

Traditional mental health training often checks a compliance box - but does little to develop real practical skills. Behind the scenes, stress, disconnection, and burnout cost businesses billions.

We flip the script, combining Mental Health First Aid England certified training with experiential learning techniques to equip teams with skills practised so they’ve the confidence to act on mental health when it matters most.

Why most training fails - and how we fix it.

Training that stops at awareness doesn’t work. We take it further.

Many training programs:

  • Focus on compliance, not retention for transformation.

  • Overload teams with theory but no practical skills.

  • Fail to adapt to real-world workplace challenges.

We do things differently. By blending expert-led learning with hands-on practice, we make training engaging, practical and effective so teams know how to support mental health.

Beyond awareness, towards true belonging.

At Sonny Side Up, we believe that what we do isn’t just about training or creating better culture. It’s about belonging.

True belonging happens when people feel safe, seen, and supported. Mental health and behaviour isn’t something we talk about - it’s at the core of everything we do. It’s with us every second of the day. It’s our closest companion - so, why wouldn’t we nurture it?

We are committed to creating a space where everyone, regardless of background or experience, has the tools, techniques, and strength to make effective change for themselves and others.

Our key values

  • Bravery Over Perfection – We don’t expect perfection, just the courage to show up. Whether it’s learning, speaking up, or supporting others, mistakes are part of our growth.

  • Empathy in Action – Bigger than listening or understanding; it’s about connecting with people in meaningful ways. Listen without judgment. Support without hesitation.

  • Learning That Sticks – Training can be a real drag. We bring energy, real-world relevance, and immersive experiences to make learning unforgettable.

  • Stronger Together – No one should feel alone in their struggles. We foster a community where open conversations and mutual support drive real change.

Mental health is a collective responsibility, and together, we’re building a culture where people feel confident, capable, and connected.

At Sonny Side Up, you belong. Welcome to the family.

Let’s build the confidence to act on mental health together
